Police were alerted to concerns for the welfare of a man at a property in Thompson Court at around 3.45pm on Tuesday. When police officers arrived, they discovered the body of a 23-year-old man. A post-mortem is due to take place tomorrow (July 7). A GMP spokesperson said: "At about 3.45pm, officers were called to an address at Thompson Court, Thompson Fold, Stalybridge, over concerns for the welfare of a man.
