Man, 21, involved in serious crash found dead in field hours later after 'panicking'
manchestereveningnews.co.ukA young farmer who vanished after a serious car crash tragically ended his own life "in a panic". Jack Henry William Thomas, 21, was involved in a collision on June 11 last year before his body was found the following day after a major search operation.
An inquest at Truro Coroners Court heard that Jack was returning home from the Royal Cornwall Show when the crash happened in the early hours on the A30, reports Cornwall Live.
Jordan Williams and his girlfriend were in the other vehicle involved in the collision and were travelling to Birmingham. Mr Williams described seeing lights coming towards him in his lane on the A30 at around 3.30am and attempted to swerve to avoid the collision, which he was unable to do. "As I arrived at the other car a male opened the driver's door and I asked if he was alright," he said. "I didn't get a proper response just a grunt and a mumble." He noticed that Jack didn't seem to have any injuries, so went back to help his girlfriend from their car.
A delivery driver rushed to help them too. By the time he helped his girlfriend, Mr Williams saw that Jack had left the scene.
