A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a hit and run in a Scots town on Friday.Emergency services were called to Queens Crescent in Livingston around 10.55pm on Friday to reports of a 46-year-old man being found seriously injured on the street.The victim was allegedly 'dragged along' by a car on the road and rushed to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment to a serious leg injury.Police launched a hunt for the driver of the vehicle after they allegedly fled the scene.Officers have now confirmed a man, 20, has been arrested and charged in connection with the hit and run.
He is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court at a later date.A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "A 20-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with a hit and run incident in Livingston."The incident involving a car and a pedestrian on Queens Crescent happened around 10.55pm on Friday, 22 September, 2023."The 20-year-old is due to appear at Livingston Sheriff Court at a later date."A report will be sent to the Procurator Fiscal."
