Malaga Unveils 2025 Work in Progress Lineup Spotlighting Projects From Chile, Dominican Republic

Jamie Lang The eighth edition of Malaga Work in Progress, the industry-focused section of the Malaga Film Festival, is set to spotlight 16 Spanish and Ibero-American films currently in post-production.

Running from March 18-20, this segment is a key platform for emerging talent and established filmmakers alike, aimed at fostering the completion and international promotion of projects from Spain, Portugal and Latin America.

Alongside the Spanish titles, Malaga WIP will also feature four Chilean films presented by FICVIÑA, under the banner of the FICVIÑA Showcase label.

This year’s slate includes eight Spanish productions, with a special focus on two films from the autonomous community of Murcia, which takes center stage in the festival’s Territory section.
