EXCLUSIVE: Mainstay Entertainment is producing a documentary on professional tennis player Aleksandra Krunic.
Norman Aladjem and Madeleine Buisseret are producing for Mainstay along with sports documentarian Natalie Jowett, who wrote and directed an Emmy-winning documentary on the tragedy of the 1972 Munich Olympics and was nominated for an Emmy as a producer on the NFL Network documentary America’s Game and the Iran Hostage Crisis.
Production is scheduled to begin April 8 at the Billie Jean King Cup (the female version of the Davis Cup) in Lisbon. No distribution has been set.
The documentary will focus on the reality of what it’s really like being a professional athlete away from all the glitz and glamour we’ve become so used to seeing.
