Maik Nawrocki makes Celtic injury comeback as Brendan Rodgers remains optimistic over Abada and Welsh
dailyrecord.co.ukBrendan Rodgers has revealed £4.3 million defender Maik Nawrocki is back for Celtic.However, the Parkhead boss admits it will be later in the year before Liel Abada and Stephen Welsh are ready to return.
Nawrocki has been absent for almost two months with a hamstring injury and not sighted since the League Cup loss at Kilmarnock.
But the 22-year-old big-money buy from Legia Warsaw is closing in on a comeback as Rodgers gears up for an exciting upcoming period.He said: “He’s (Nawrocki) doing very well and trained over the last week or so.
So we’ve virtually only really got Stephen Welsh and Liel Abada who will hopefully be back in December time. Thankfully, that’s starting to ease off and we’re starting to get numbers back in what’s going to be a busy part of the season.
