deadline.comMahershala Ali is in talks to join the newest installment in the Jurassic World franchise from Universal Pictures, Deadline can confirm.
Details as to the role he’ll be playing are under wraps, as is the plot of the film, which is said to launch an all-new storyline.
But should the deal make, he’ll join an ensemble that includes Scarlett Johansson, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Jonathan Bailey and Rupert Friend, as previously announced.
Gareth Edwards has been enlisted to direct the new film from a script by David Koepp. Frank Marshall and Patrick Crowley are producing for Kennedy-Marshall, with Steven Spielberg executive producing for Amblin Entertainment.
