Harry Potter creators over "teen audience appeal" in unearthed letters that came to light after his death.The award-winning actor played the role of Severus Snape in the Harry Potter films, but in unearthed letters expressed his frustrations with how the seventh film had been directed.The legendary actor's true feelings were exposed in 2018 when a collection of letters were released after his death.It came as David Heyman, the director of the second Harry Potter film, told Rickman he understood his “frustrations” in a letter.The director told Rickman: “Thank you for making HP2 a success."I know, at times, you are frustrated but please know that you are an integral part of the films."And you are brilliant," he added.Another letter from 2009, written by Rickman himself, was titled: “Inside Snape’s Head.”In the letter, he once again spoke up about what irritated him about his character’s inner-workings during the filming of the seventh Harry Potter film which was directed by David Yates.Rickman wrote: “It’s as if David Yates has decided that this is not important in the scheme of things i.e. teen audience appeal.”The star also received a letter from Harry Potter author JK Rowling.Rowling thanked Rickman for "doing justice to my most complex character"."Rickman starred in all eight films and heartbreakingly died  of pancreatic cancer not long after the final film aired.However, it was revealed that the award-winning actor nearly left the franchise after a couple of movies.His decision, however, was overturned after a couple of choice words from author J.K.

Metal legends Metallica headlined the first night of Lollapalooza 2022 in Chicago's Grant Park on Thursday.And while the band played many of their most recognizable hits like Enter Sandman, Nothing Else Matters and One, they would close out the blistering set with a rousing rendition of Master Of Puppets, complete with a cameo from the Stranger Things character Eddie Munson playing on the large screen behind them.The clip was taken from the hit show's season four finale where Eddie, played by Joseph Quinn, 29, shreds a version of the song. The BBC plans to bring back one of Britain’s biggest shows of the 1990s, with the broadcaster reported to be in talks with rights holders MGM Studios to relaunch the very physical game-show Gladiators.

A jubilant Jay Hernandez (aka Magnum) took to Twitter today to thank fans for their efforts that resulted in a fifth season pickup of the former CBS crime drama by NBC.

Some very happy Magnum P.I. cast members are reacting to the news that the show will go on.

EXCLUSIVE: Magnum P.I. has been saved. It came down to the wire but a deal just closed for NBC to order 20 new episodes of the action drama starring Jay Hernandez following its cancellation by CBS last month, I have learned. I hear the 20 episodes will be split into two seasons, bringing the reboot’s  run to 96 episodes, with an option for more.

Joe Otterson TV ReporterPeacock is developing an American adaptation of the Australian comedy series “Laid” with Nahnatchka Khan and Sally Bradford McKenna.Khan and Bradford McKenna will serve as writers and executive producers on the project. It follows a woman who finds out her former lovers are dying in unusual ways. In investigating their deaths, she must come to terms with her complicated past.Khan executive produces the show via Fierce Baby Productions along with Jennifer Carreras.  John Davis and John Fox of Davis Entertainment also executive produce along with Liz Watts, Marieke Hardy and Kirsty Fisher of Porchlight Films.

Peacock is developing Laid, a comedy based on the Australian series of the same name, from Young Rock and Fresh Off The Boat creator Nahnatchka Khan, Ghosted co-executive producer Sally Bradford McKenna, Davis Entertainment (The Blacklist) and Universal TV, where Khan and Davis Entertainment are under deals.
