Married At First Sight UK viewers praised a groom's sweet gesture towards his wife on Wednesday night's episode (September 20).
The experimental dating show, which kicked off on Monday, sees singletons matched with partners by love experts. New couples meet for the first time at the altar and embark on married life from the words 'I do.' Groom Arthur Poremba got off on the wrong foot when he met his bride Laura Vaughan during the show's opening episode.
At their ceremony, surrounded by family and friends, he read out vows he'd printed from the internet - and even uttered the words, 'I love you', making viewers cringe. The awkward exchange didn't go down well with finance manager Laura, who was less than impressed by his speech.
After the ceremony, Arthur's friends revealed that he had found his vows online. Laura confronted Arthur and he admitted to taking the vows from the internet, with Arthur saying: "That's the perfect example of me trying to be someone I'm not." As the pair got to know each other, Laura could not get over the pre-researched vows.
