Married At First Sight UK's Georges Berthonneau has revealed he regrets taking part in the show after his marriage to Peggy Lawrence ended on Valentine's Day this year. The reality TV star, who tied the knot on E4, said his rise to fame was swift but "dropped equally as quick".The 31 year old online fitness coach confessed that he lost himself after the show and needed to sort himself out.
He's been working hard on his physical health and recently shared snaps of his impressive 10kg weight loss on social media. Opening up about his experience, Georges told The Sun: "The fame rose very quickly, and it dropped equally as quick.
And that's OK. But I kind of lost myself after the show. I fell out of love with myself and I didn't really know what I was doing and what my focus or purpose was anymore." He also admitted that leaving his job for the show was "a mistake".
Reflecting on his decision to participate, he said: "It was pretty dumb of me. I wish I'd never done the show at times. I wish I'd never done the show not for any other reason than how they treat you. They're very manipulative," adding that he's spoken to Love Island stars who feel the same way, reports the Mirror.
