In previous episodes, Shona, Laura and Peggy Rose all enjoyed a girls night where they discussed their own relationships and others.
Peggy stated that she didn't think friendship couples like Ella and Nathanial should be in the experiment. Shona and Laura relayed this to Ella, which prompted a row between her and Peggy over the comments in a tense confrontation.
