Married at First Sight star Shona Manderson has broken her silence on Tuesday night’s explosive dinner party argument, as she confessed she and fellow bride Laura Vaughan had enjoyed a bit of a “mean girl” moment, during the tense get together.
Taking to Instagram one day on from the awkward exchange, which saw several participants in the experiment at each other’s throats, Shona told her followers: “Acknowledging our “mean girl” moment, I don’t want to just ignore it, especially because @laurajayvaughan has been getting more of the blame online and that’s not fair.” The concerned bride then continued: “There’s no denying that @Peggyroseofficial was supportive and concerned towards me in the experiment, which I more than appreciate - I love her and we’re good friends.” “That day she had a lot of opinions which we were in agreement on which is fine.
You don’t see it in the edit, but you can tell at the end Laura and I are baffled.” Shona then took accountability for her actions as she added: “I own that I stirred the pot here, never mind if producers told us to or not, it was a bitchy move.” “The DP is about the drama and friendship is still strong @ellamorganc.
Apologies were made and we move on. Peggy and @georgesbert got us all Easter eggs after this night! Don’t blame my girl Laura.” Shona’s comments come just one day after viewers saw a tense and uncomfortable dinner party unfold during week three of the experiment, which saw several of the participants placing unnecessary scrutiny on the nature of each others relationships.
