Married at First Sight viewers have been quick to slam the show’s double standards, after Porscha Pernelle and Terence Edwards became the first couple to leave the experiment in the wake of a tense cheating scandal.
As regular viewers will know, it recently emerged this week that Porscha had been French kissing “four or five” of the other grooms during a game of spin the bottle when her husband wasn’t present.
Considering it an inconsequential act akin to pecking a friend on the cheek, Porscha simply dismissed it as being a game and nothing more, whereas her husband Terence had a far more critical view of the situation and believed it was an act of infidelity - a stance his fellow couples appeared to agree on.
Discussing the situation with the show’s experts during the third commitment ceremony of the series on Wednesday, 11 October, Terence opened up about how he felt before confessing he no longer wished to take part in the experiment and wanted to bring his marriage to Porscha to an end.
