Married at First Sight Australia is officially back, and this season is set to be bigger and better than ever. The 12th instalment of the hit reality series returned to E4 on Monday (March 3), with a fresh group of singletons entering the experiment in the hope of finding their forever partner.
In just three episodes, we've already seen a couple reunited at the altar after going on a date eight months before. Plus, a groom packed his bags on the honeymoon after his bride didn't live up to his extensive list of "non-negotiables".That's not all, as another bride's hopes were dashed when she realised her new husband didn't feel an "initial spark" towards her, and therefore avoided her throughout the wedding reception.
It's already been very eventful, but it's set to get even more explosive, if the season's trailer is anything to go by. The teaser clip, which was played at the end of the first episode, began with the highest of romantic highs, with one bride confessing: "We feel like we've known each other for a lifetime." However, the marital bliss doesn't last long, with a montage of crying cast members gracing the screen. "I'm here because I wanted a bloody Cam [Merchant] and Jules [Robinson] kind of love," a tearful newlywed said.
Fiery group dynamics also come into play, with the cast enduring several tense dinner parties - which push some couples to breaking point.
