Lourdes Leon has revealed that she pays her own way, rather than asking her mum Madonna to cover costs – and that included her university fees.The 24-year-old, who likes to carve out her own path, is the daughter of pop superstar Madonna, 62, and personal trainer turned actor Carlos Leon, 55.Lourdes, who goes by the nickname Lola, is featured on the cover of Vogue’s September 2021 issue alongside seven other models.Chatting about her independence to the publication, she said: ‘People think I’m this talentless rich kid who’s had everything given to her but I’m not.’The model and dancer then shared that she paid for college ‘herself’ and lives in the Bushwick neighbourhood in New York City so she can ‘disappear into its polyglot creative.
