Police have received 270 calls after naming a convicted paedophile as a new suspect in the search for missing Madeleine McCann.
Yesterday Met Police dramatically unveiled a German prisoner as the man they believe is linked to her vanishing from Praia da Luz in 2007.
German police are treating the man, known as Christian Brueckner, as a prime suspect who may know where her body is. And since then, Met said they have received nearly 300 calls in a promising development.
DCI Mark Cranwell, from Operation Grange, said: “Following our appeal for information yesterday, I want to thank those members of the public who have contacted us.
