Edinburgh has sparked rush-hour delays as police scramble to the scene. The smash took place on the M8 eastbound carriageway on the approach to the A720 at the city's Hermiston Gait at around 7.40am on Monday.
Traffic Scotland confirmed that police were 'en route'. Lane three of three has been blocked off to other motorists, with rush-hour traffic building in the area as a result.The number of vehicles involved was not disclosed.No injuries have been reported at this stage.
