Even though they eventually parted ways for good in 2016 after an on-again-off-again relationship, Lydia Bright and James 'Arg' Argent have remained close friends.

The pair, who both starred in The Only Way Is Essex, appear to still be a big part in each other's lives and 32-year-old Lydia revealed to new how 'proud' she is of his recent transformation.

Arg, 35, took part in this year’s Celebrity SAS: Who Dares Wins, and has wowed fans with how different he appears following a 13st weight loss and quitting a troubling drug habit. "He worked so hard before going on [the show]," Lydia said. "I saw him shortly after he came back and he was so battered.

He was really bruised and physically exhausted. But he did it and it’s a very hard thing to sign yourself up for." And it appears the reality TV star, who previously dated Gemma Collins, is also pursuing his dreams and focussing on a singing career since moving on from old ways.
