"The Nuke" made a very obvious 2-0 gesture with both hands, which would have won him some fans on the blue half of the city.
The teenager shrugged off his negative reception to book a semi-final spot, and will be confident of going all the way after seeing world champ Luke Humphries dumped out by Nathan Apsinall.
