Lucy Mecklenburgh takes desperate measures to try to induce overdue baby

Lucy Mecklenburgh is now nine months pregnant, and she's trying absolutely everything possible to try to encourage her labour.

The former TOWIE star is expecting her first baby with fiancé Ryan Thomas , who starred in Coronation Street . After a false alarm last week, Lucy, 28, is back home and looking up all the ways to induce her son.

She's taking her mum's dog for a walk, drinking herbal tea, eating pineapples and dates, and using sage essential oil. "Worth a try!" she wrote on Instagram alongside a series of pictures of her unusual snacks and trip with the pup, Bow.

Her boredom was also evident as she went through all her cupboards in the kitchen and threw out all her old teabags, marvelling at how out of date they were.
