Lucy Letby has a target on her head in her new life as a Category A prisoner. The former neonatal nurse, who is the UK's most prolific child killer, is in the sights of other dangerous cons as she serves a life sentence for killing babies.The serial killer, 33, was handed a whole-life order for murdering seven innocent babies in her care in 2015 and 2016.

She is now spending her life locked up with some of Britain's most dangerous female cons.She has launched a freedom bid, hoping to appeal her convictions, and also faces re-trial on a charge of attempting to murder a newborn baby girl.

It's believed she is serving her sentence in HMP Low Newton in Durham, HMP New Hall in Yorkshire, or HMP Bronzefield in Surrey, where she has already served jail time.The Mirror reports it's suspected she will mostly only interact with prison officers "through the hatch in her cell door" and that experts believe she will be on suicide watch for a number of months before she's allowed to mix with her fellow inmates.It's thought to be "extremely unlikely" that she will ever be allowed day release, which some other prisoners are given for important events like family funerals.Chartered security professional James Bore says this means she will not be able to attend the funerals of her parents, Susan and Jonathan Letby, who supported her during her trial.Speaking to the Mirror, the director of family consultancy Bores said: "Any day release for parents' funerals, or anything else, would be based on a risk assessment. "I find it extremely unlikely that any sort of temporary release would be granted - for her own safety as much as anything else.
