Lucy Fallon has opened up about leaving Coronation Street amid rumours of her return. The actress is known for having played Bethany Platt in the ITV soap from 2015 to 2020.
But rumours started to swirl early last month about her return to Weatherfield. Lucy, 27, is said to be heading back to the ITV studios in the coming weeks to film brand new scenes but it is expected that Lucy’s new scenes won’t air until the new year And shortly afterwards, it seemed on-screen mum Tina O'Brien confirmed her return was true.
The Sarah Barlow actress was celebrating her 40th birthday at the time when she shared a picture of herself on set in the Platts' home with Helen Worth, Sue Nicholls, Jack P Shepherd, Ben Price and Julia Goulding who all play members of her on-screen family. "Yesterday treated to a gorgeous surprise celebration by my wonderful Platt fam," she typed alongside the sweet snap.
But she then added: "We'll get a full one soon @paddybever and @lucyfallonx," referring to Lucy and Max Turner actor Paddy. Lucy then reshared the post with a sting of heart and crying emojis but she also sneakily added a string of thinking face emojis.
