Luca Guadagnino to Direct New 'American Psycho' Movie, Won't Be a Remake

Burns, who previously wrote movies like The Bourne Ultimatum, Contagion, and The Laundromat, has written the screenplay for the upcoming adaptation.
No word yet on who will play the role of Patrick Bateman. Here’s the synopsis from the 2000 movie: “In New York City in 1987, a handsome, young urban professional, Patrick Bateman, lives a second life as a gruesome serial killer by night.
