Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Queer’ Gets Max Streaming Date

Max has set Friday, March 28 for the streaming premiere of Luca Guadagnino‘s romantic drama Queer, starring Daniel Craig and Outer Banks breakout Drew Starkey.

The film will debut on HBO linear on Saturday, March 29 at at 8 pm ET. Based on the semi-autobiographical 1985 novel by subversive American writer William S.

Burroughs, whose work helped define the Beat Generation, the A24 film is set in 1950s Mexico City, where William Lee (Craig), an American ex-pat in his late 40s, leads a solitary life amidst a small American community.

The arrival in town of Eugene Allerton (Starkey), a young student, stirs William into finally establishing a meaningful connection with someone.
