The Love Island contestants were at risk of being evacuated from their swanky Villa as a huge wildfire broke out nearby with everyone put on 'high alert', and an evacuation plan drawn up.
It's understood television bosses became increasingly concerned about the safety of those involved in the ITV2 reality programme.
Flames are said to have broke out just two fields away from where the the Islanders are staying.Firefighters battled for three hours to bring the blaze under control.A source told The Sun: “Fire crews were rushed to Ludus Magnus estate after a wildfire broke out just two fields away from the villa.
The winds were pretty high so there were concerns the blaze could move towards the villa but the fire crews managed to get it under control.“Naturally the welfare of everyone on the show is the main priority and an evacuation plan has been put in place if it’s needed.“An ITV spokesperson said: “A fire brigade has attended a fire in the local area.
