Viewer opinions were mixed as Faye Winter and Teddy Soares became an official couple on Thursday’s episode of Love Island. As Teddy and Faye went on a lavish date that saw them waist deep in a pool filled with rose petals shaped into the form of two hearts, Teddy felt it was the right moment to reveal that he wanted to make things between them official.

After the pair had a discussion of their journey so far and their goals for the future, Teddy said that there was something “on the tip of his tongue” before asking Faye to be his girlfriend.
