Love Island 's Shaughna Phillips hit back at “mum police” after she took her newborn daughter Lucia out in the car for the first time.

Shaughna, 28, marked the milestone on Instagram and told her followers: “First drive on my own? Completed it m8” before she preempted any concerned questions she thought she might be asked.

Shaughna assured her followers that she had done “everything right” when putting her baby girl in the car for the first time.

While keeping her sense of humour, she wrote: “Before the mum police come for me, just want to assure you that passenger airbags were turned off, seatbelt was used correctly, it’s legal for her to be in the front with me, she was strapped in securely, picture was taken when I was parked, and if there’s anything else I’ve forgotten, I done that right as well lol”.
