Shaughna Phillips has given birth to a little girl, who she’s now revealed she’s named Lucia.The Love Island star, 28, was induced over the weekend after going a week over her original due date, going on to welcome little Lucia on Tuesday, 4 April.
Announcing her daughter’s arrival on Instagram, OK! columnist Shaughna penned: “My darling Lucia, I wish I had you sooner so I could love you longer”.
The star’s newborn weighed 8lb 8oz and was welcomed into the world at 8:10pm. In light of Shaughna’s baby joy, we look into what her daughter’s lovely moniker means and where it stems from.
According to babynames.com, Lucia is of Italian origin and means light. Another spelling of the unique moniker is Luzia. The English equivalent is Lucy or Lucinda.
