Love Island star Samie Elishi has criticised Tom Clare for sharing a public break-up statement while she was facing up to the fact she may have cancer.

The 23 year old favourite, who came third place on this year's winter edition of the show with her now ex-boyfriend, said she "could have done without" the Barnsley-born footballer's Instagram story.

Tom, who shared the statement confirming he and Samie had chosen to part ways after barely a month outside of the villa, said he was "gutted it's come to an end but I truly wish Samie the best" earlier this week.

A day later, Samie posted a slimmed-down Instagram story of her own, where she said she wasn't "ready" to share the full story of what had happened yet.
