Love Island returned on Wednesday night following a cliff-hanging ending previously as two girls were left vulnerable to being booted from the villa, and the decision was in the hands of their fellow islanders.Ruchee Gurung was the first islander to be booted out of the ITV reality show, as the group decided to save Glasgow model Ella Thomas in the hope she can continue her spark with Tyrique who was stolen from her by new bombshell Leah.Opening up about her experiences in her exit interview, the 24-year-old beautician explained her reasons for going into the lavish Mallorca villa to find love and who she will be rooting for on the outside now she has left."I thought that I would be disappointed, but I’m not because I tried my best and I was myself.
It didn’t work out for me and that’s completely fine," Ruchee said."I thought that Ella was going to get saved because she has a connection in there, I would have probably even nominated myself to go - I’m so happy that they chose her.
I would want her to continue her journey. I’ve built a really good relationship with the girls and I’m such a girls’ girl."On her experience, she added: "I’m glad I got to experience being in the Villa.
Coming from an Asian background, I did it for my community - represent! My journey was short, but it was sweet, so I’m happy."When asked about who she was rooting for whilst watching the show when she gets back home, it was clear there are no bitter feelings about being axed above Glasgow contestant Ella.Ruchee said:I’m definitely rooting for Medhi and Whitney.
