BBC Breakfast star Louise Minchin, 51, joined a host of famous faces for a four-day expedition across the Namib Desert on foot, bike and sand skis in soaring temperatures.

While the presenter struggled her way through the 100-mile challenge, her co-star Nick Grimshaw, 35, was forced to pull out for a day after suffering from heat exhaustion.In scenes from the show aired last night, Louise could be seen rushing to the aide of the Radio 1 presenter in panic.Nick could be seen struggling to ride his back through the desert as he admitted to feeling “relentless”.“Do you want to stop?” she asked, as he admitted he was “really struggling”.Louise could then be heard signalling to medics for water before they rushed over to assist Nick.James Jordan.
