Louise Minchin, 51, took part in this year’s Sports Relief challenge, called The Heat Is On, that saw a group of celebrities embark on a epic 100-mile expedition across the Namib Desert on foot, bike and sand skis, where temperatures can reach over 35C (95F).
Originally, the adventure was set to take place in the freezing temperatures of Magnolia, but due to the coronavirus outbreak, there were fears that the deadly virus could be contracted.Louise returned to the BBC Breakfast show sofa earlier this month after having completed the course and survived to tell the tale.She described the gruelling course as “tough” but “utterly brilliant”.And now the time has come for the rest of the world to see what she and her fellow celeb pals got up to.
