Wayne Rooney said that he was once sent to the "back of the queue" for penalties by Louis van Gaal. He explained: "For the forwards, if you're the penalty taker - if you miss - you're the back of the queue. "Even in pre-season, if you miss a penalty, you go to number seven or eight in the queue." He then detailed how this policy affected him directly, adding: "We got three penalties pre-season, I scored the first two.
