Tom Tapp Deputy Managing EditorAfter the new number of COVID-19 cases announced yesterday, County Public Health Director Barbara Ferrer revealed Los Angeles County is still seeing near-record numbers of new cases.
Ferrer has said before that the numbers of new cases will rise with the number of tests, but the director indicated that the number of tests is actually declining.
The numbers do come nearly 2 weeks after the stay-at-home order was modified and after recent large gatherings at protests.There were 1633 new cases in the county as of Friday, according to the health department.
Dr. Ferrer said that 500 delayed cases from one lab. That brings the total confirmed cases in L.A. County to 70,475. Ironically, however, the director’s slides.
