The HGV struck Hill's Lane Bridge on the M66 near junction 4 earlier this afternoon. Three out of four north-bound lanes have been closed while the vehicle is recovered. Drivers have been warned of delays of up to 40 minutes. A spokesperson for Highways England said: "Three of the four lanes are currently closed after a lorry hit Hill’s Lane Bridge. "Recovery is currently in progress.
