Lorraine Kelly has a "no a*******s" policy on her show which helps things run smoothly, she's revealed. The 64-year-old has been fronting her self-titled programme since 2010 with a team behind-the-scenes who she has nothing but praise for.
Addressing her 14 years on set, Lorraine said presenting from the sofa is her "comfort zone", particularly as many of her loyal colleagues have been with her for years. The host went on to say she also likes to catch up with guests beforehand to see if they're all good, as she knows just how nerve-wracking it can be live on-air.
She shared: "I always try every morning to have a wee chat with everybody before they come on."I don't go through the interview or anything, but I want to make sure that they're alright, so that if I see someone struggling or they're worried about something, or if they're clearly very nervous, it's good to talk to them beforehand."Revealing how she avoids an awkward work encounter, she added: "I know who the a*******s are, it's all fine, it's all good."Quizzed by Blethered podcast host Sean McDonald who the difficult people in the TV industry had been for her, she replied, laughing: "How much time have you got?
No, I'm very lucky that my team are good, we have a no a*******s zone."We just don't have time, and an awful lot of them have been with me for a long time.
