Lorraine Kelly halts ITV show to share personal family news

Lorraine Kelly took a moment during her show on Monday (June 24) to send a heartfelt message to her daughter Rosie. The TV presenter's daughter recently announced her engagement to her partner Steve, and Lorraine couldn't contain her joy as she paused her programme to share the news that the couple are now expecting their first child.

The transition from Good Morning Britain to Lorraine saw hosts Susanna Reid and Adil Ray engage in light-hearted banter with Lorraine, opting to ignore the disappointing football news involving Scotland's exit from the Euros.

Instead, they turned the spotlight onto Lorraine for the much more cheerful family announcement. Speaking to Susanna and Adil, Lorraine beamed: "Rosie and her Steve got engaged, which is fantastic - he is wonderful.

He asked Steve permission, went down on one knee. It's quite confusing Susanna, it's quite confusing. When I shout Steve they both turn around."
