ITV Daytime star Lorraine Kelly has posted a gushing tweet to her 741,000 followers thanking her team, which appears to be a thinly veiled swipe at Piers Morgan's recent remarks about those working on daytime television.

Following Thursday's Lorraine show, the Scottish star tweeted: "Big thanks to my top team for really fun, uplifting, happy shows - not many of us LOVE going to work and all of the production team and crew make every morning a joy!

Don't get the chance to say it often enough. "Her sweet musings are in stark contrast to Piers' outburst on Times Radio on Monday.

It was sparked by the 35-second tribute to Phillip Schofield on Lorraine's fellow ITV show This Morning, after he announced his departure in a statement on Saturday.
