Lord Sugar, 74, regularly uses his Twitter account to speak his mind and weigh on world issues. And on Tuesday night, his attention was directed towards BBC's latest crime drama The Responder.Starring Martin Freeman as gritty Liverpudlian urgent response officer officer Chris Carson, the show is written by ex-police officer Tony Schumacher, aiming to give people a distinctive new take by "holding a mirror up to the emotional extremes of life on the front line of British policing".Filmed in and around Liverpool, the actor is said to have spent over a year trying to perfect his northern accent and to some, he's hit the nail on the head. However, Lord Sugar and his wife Ann Simons, thought differently.Taking to Twitter after watching the programme, that's currently available to watch on iPlayer, he penned a rather scathing review of the cast's accents."Why did the BBC make Martin Freeman speak with a Liverpool accent in The Responder," Lord Sugar questioned."Hard to follow what he and other cast are saying."No disrespect to people of Liverpool they are nice down to earth people."My wife gave up watching she said she could not understand a word."The remark caused a mixed reaction, and while many Twitter users branded his remarks "unnecessary" and "daft", others believed he was referring to the use of slang words.Rushing to the comments section, @MattLittler mocked: "It’s...

it’s set in liverpool.That’s... I’m not sure how to answer."@eideangm added: "Think he’s being extremely unfair on himself, like I said plenty up here say it’s probably the best Scouse accent from a non-scouser they’ve heard & I'd agree."@chrisgi02115489 retorted: "Not sure comment is necessary and could be classed as borderline xenophobic.
