The actor, 40, played the heroic Frodo Baggins in the iconic fantasy trilogy. He was joined in the films subtitled The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King by both Sean and Orlando.
Now speaking to Empire magazine, Elijah has recalled the scary moment when he and his fellow cast members saw what had happened at the World Trade Centre in New York City on September 11, 2001.
