ok.co.ukLoose Women presenter Myleene Klass broke down in floods of tears on live TV over a devastating announcement.The 46 year old was presenting the popular daytime show on Wednesday, 21 August, when it opened with news of TV and radio star Lauren Laverne's cancer diagnosis.
Lauren, also 46, is best known for hosting Desert Island Discs. She revealed her diagnosis on Instagram today, saying: "I recently had a cancer diagnosis.
It was (thank God) caught early and unexpectedly during a screening test and I am expected to make a full recovery." At the start of Loose Women, Myleene's co-host Coleen Nolan discussed about Lauren's sad news, before turning to Myleene, who is a close friend of Lauren's.
She said: "Myleene, I know Lauren is very close to your heart, so..." Myleene – who is godmother to Lauren's children – was unable to contain her emotions, as her voice faltered and she looked at the floor.
