Ruth took to her Instagram page on Monday (August 28) with the health update as she made herself a homemade remedy to try and beat the illness she is suffering from.
The 63-year-old shared a video as she combined a number of ingredients in a cafetiere, using the French press to create a smooth hot drink.
Alongside the post, Ruth wrote to her one million followers: "Got the Lurgy! So I’ve made myself a hot toddy and I’m going back to bed!
