Frankie Bridge has said she was 'knocked sideways' when doctors told her they'd found a tumour in her neck. The Loose Women star shared her diagnosis as she reflected on turning 36.

As she marked her birthday on Tuesday (January 14), Frankie reflected on her health, opening up about her fears of dying after doctors told her they'd found a tumour in her neck.

In an Instagram post, Frankie said she " finally" went to the doctor after suffering from daily headaches, but was shocked when an MRI scan revealed a growth in her neck. "I was so angry at myself for not making the time to just go to the doctors sooner," the mum-of-two typed in her reflective post.

She added: "I was convinced I was now dying and I could have done something to avoid it." Frankie, who rose to fame as a member of S Club Juniors and later girl band The Saturdays, told how she was diagnosed with a Subependymoma, a rare, benign brain tumour that grows in the ependymal cells of the brain's ventricles and spinal cord.
