Charles, Prince of Wales (Charles Philip Arthur George; born 14 November 1948) is the heir apparent to the British throne as the eldest son of Elizabeth II. He has been Duke of Cornwall and Duke of Rothesay since 1952, and he is the oldest and longest-serving heir apparent in British history.
He is also the longest-serving Prince of Wales, having held that title since 1958. Charles was born at Buckingham Palace as the first grandchild of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth. He was educated at Cheam and Gordonstoun schools, which his father, Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh, had attended as a child. Charles also spent a year at the Timbertop campus of Geelong Grammar School in Victoria, Australia.
Loose Women's Denise Welch is set to play Queen Elizabeth II in an upcoming Princess Diana musical, named Diana the Musical.
The 65 year old is no stranger to acting, having starred in Coronation Street, Hollyoaks and Waterloo road during her lengthy career.
The concert version of Diana the Musical will see an older Diana both narrating and reflecting back on her life and that of her 19-year old self, played in two parts, by Kerry Ellis (Wicked, Anything Goes) and Maiya Quansah-Breed (original cast member of Six).
Denise will play the late Queen Elizabeth II in the show, which will take place at the Eventim Apollo in Hammersmith on 4 December 2023 at 7.30pm.
