Loose Women's Denise Welch emotional as she says 'until next time' to Coronation Street pal's support

Denise Welch was left emotional as she opened up about the end of her latest stint on stage. The Loose Women star has been splitting her time between appearing on the ITV panel show and performing in a play in Manchester.

At the end of last year, Denise stunned fans when she transformed into the actual late Queen Elizabeth II for a show. At the time, Denise took to the stage at the Hammersmith Apollo for a one-off concert version of Diana the Musical alongside West End star Kerry Ellis as the late Princess of Wales.

But back in January, the 65-year-old revealed she was taking on a new role the new play, The Gap, which was put together by award-winning playwright Jim Cartwright.

Launching in February, it starred Denise and actor and TV star Matthew Kelly and took place at Manchester's Hope Mill Theatre.
