Loose Women's Brenda Edwards will 'never forget' holding son Jamal's hand as he died following cardiac arrest

Loose Women star Brenda Edwards has told of her son’s heartbreaking final moments in her first TV interview since his death.Music entrepreneur Jamal Edwards MBE passed away in February aged 31, following a reported sudden heart attack.

Speaking to fellow Loose Women panelist Coleen Nolan, Brenda was in tears as she recalled the day he died, The Mirror reports."The one thing that I do want to say is I was with him and his sister was with us, we were all at home,” she said. “It was sudden and it was unexpected and he went into cardiac arrest.

Then he passed with me holding his hand, so I get a little bit of comfort from knowing I was with him.”"As much as that is comfort, at the same time, it’s a vision that I’m never going to forget,” she added.Telling Coleen that she was “taking each day as it comes”, Brenda also revealed in the interview that she has a bedtime routine dedicated to Jamal."When I wake up every morning - all of his photos are still obviously in the house - and I look at him and say, ‘Good morning, baby’ and ‘Good night, baby’."And I think doing that is what’s keeping me going.

He always had this lovely, bright smile, just used to light up. He had this funny laugh. I feel his presence constantly and I know I’ve always been somebody who has faith and who believes in that and that has been a massive comfort to me.”The presenter said that the family was “so grateful” for the outpouring of support in the wake of Jamal’s death, including from her Loose Women colleagues who she thanked for "being there at the end of the phone with me".As the founder of SBTV, music mogul Jamal helped to launch the careers of stars including Ed Sheeran and Stormzy.
