Brenda Edwards appeared on Good Morning Britain on Wednesday (May 4) to pay tribute to her late son Jamal Edwards. The TV personality returned to the Loose Women panel last week for the first time since Jamal passed away earlier this year.
The entrepreneur and music pioneer, who was awarded an MBE in 2014 for his services to music, is known for his role in helping launch the careers of esteemed British artists including Ed Sheeran, Jessie J and Dave.
The SBTV founder died suddenly on February 20 aged 31 after it was reported he suffered a sudden heart attack. His mother, 53-year-old Brenda, spoke to Good Morning Britain hosts Richard Madeley and Susanna Reid on Wednesday in an emotional interview where she shared details of the trust she has set up in his name, and revealed sentimental details from her son's funeral. After Richard praised Brenda for her strength following her son's sudden death, she said: "I'm managing to do it because Jamal's mantra was about self belief, which is why I've named the trust The Jamal Edwards Self Belief Trust. "I still talk about him in the present tense.
