'Lonely Is the Muse' Lyrics: Halsey Returns to Rock With Her Searing New Song!

The 29-year-old “Lucky” star released her new track, “Lonely is the Muse,” on Thursday (August 15), which is more of a return of the rock sound she explored with Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, as well as Bring Me The Horizon. “I always knew I was a martyr and that Jesus was one too, but I was built from special pieces that I learned how to unscrew / And I can always reassemble to fit perfectly for you or anybody that decides that I’m of use,” she declares on the song, co-written with Stuart Price. Keep reading to find out more… Halsey previewed the new song to fans at her headlining sets for Budapest’s Sziget Festival and Helsinki’s Flow Festival, and premiered it last night (August 14) at her secret underplay at Koko in London, where she hasn’t played since 2015 in support of her first album, Badlands.
