Passengers at a major UK train station have been evacuated on Tuesday night, as police 'deal with an incident'. Train company Greater Anglia confirmed there would be significant disruption to travel in and out of London Liverpool Street on December 17, with all platforms "blocked" earlier this evening as police deal with the unspecified incident, reports the Mirror.Passengers took to social media to confirm they'd been told to evacuate the building in central London.

Joshua Hart said in an X post: "London Liverpool Street station completely evacuated as I was about to hop on the train home.

Sirens going off and told to evacuate immediately…It was like something straight out of a war zone."User MEL said it was "chaos" at the station.

She shared a video of people leaving the station while a siren could be heard in the background.Sarah Palmer-Edwards said the building was evacuated at about 6:30pm in an X post responding to Greater Anglia's update.In an update around 7pm, all lines reopened, Greater Anglia confirmed on X (formally Twitter).
