A logistics company is seeking approval to carry out several alterations to its base in Eurocentral, including the demolition and replacement of offices.Maritime Transport, which operates a network of rail freight terminals and employs around 3000 staff, has applied to North Lanarkshire Council for planning permission to proceed with various work on its premises at its Eurocentral site, located a few miles outside Motherwell.The company intends to demolish an existing office and build a new staff office and welfare building, and also to carry out more general alterations to the site including formal parking spaces for employees’ vehicles and lorries, lighting, and the installation of a new fuel tank.The Lanarkshire Live app is available to download now.
